May I bring money?

YES: You may bring no more than $5.00. The cafeteria no longer accepts cash or check for payment. To purchase snack items from the cafeteria, your parents/guardians must establish an account through MyPaymentPlus.

May I bring lunch?

YES: You may bring a FULL lunch to school (sandwich, chips, fruit, and drink). You may NOT bring just candy or just drinks.

What is the cost of meals?

Bridgeport Academy provides breakfast and lunch to ALL students at no cost.

May I bring a backpack or book bag?

Middle and high school students may NOT bring backpacks or book bags to school.

May I bring any personal items?

NO: You only need to bring school supplies. You may NOT bring any personal items which include, but are not limited to: metal picks, large purses (girls may carry a small clutch for personal hygiene products only), electronic or bluetooth devices (cell phones, mp3 players, ipods, tablets, laser lights), electronic chargers of any kind (cell phone, ankle bracelet), matches, or lighters.

May I bring any prescription medications or over-the-counter medications to school?

NO: You may not bring any type of medications or vitamins to school, including cough drops, eye drops, allergy medication, nose spray, or aspirin. All medications must have parental authorization on file and be secured and administered by the school nurse only.

May I bring tobacco products?

NO: You may not bring tobacco products of any kind nor any items used to prepare tobacco for use.
