The Developmental Reading Assessment



DRA2 – The DRA2 stands for the Developmental Reading Assessment is a method for assessing and documenting primary students' development as readers over time.  Students in grades 3-5 are assessed at the beginning and end of each school year.  Throughout the year, the students’ identified independent reading levels are utilized to meet students’ specific term accuracy, fluency and comprehension needs. The DRA evaluates the major aspects of reading that are critical to independence as a reader.
